For me, my philosophy of healthcare, is humbly putting the patients needs medically and emotionally before your own. I think as nurses the best way to emotionally support our patients is through strength and demonstrating how great the power of listening is. Personally being on the opposite end and lying in a hospital bed, it was a comforting and healing having my nurse actually listen to my needs. And her strength was so contagious allowing me to find the strength within me to heal. My philosophy of healthcare means never letting my patient lose hope.Updated: April 23, 2013 - 1:30pm - by Yvette Saliba
