My philosophy of healthcare revolves around the idea that I share a common dignity with all patients. A dignity that is born from my awareness that we belong to the same human family. All of us, one way or another, will eventually suffer tremendous loss. If we live long enough, we will one day, suffer the loss of loved ones, the loss of cognitive facilities, and we will suffer painful illnesses. We are going to lose everything that we love in this world even when we lose our lives. Why not be kind and compassionate to all patients in the mean time. I want to add that this philosophy should be applied to our daily lives outside the hospital.
