Growing up I have witnessed my mother taking care of her patients as if they were her own children. She would bathe them, feed them, talk with them, basically do everything that an individual needed. All her patients appreciated her for this, as she made them feel like a person again. Through her I have seen what the job has to offer for myself as well as to the patients. She has been my inspiration in wanting to care for others and be the one who can ease away someone else's pain. She has taught me that patients not only need procedures and medications, but love and communication to help them through a difficult time in their life. Therefore, my philosophy of healthcare is to help patients remember that they are just as important as anyone else.Updated: April 23, 2013 - 2:13pm - by Yvette Saliba
