It has been said that the best way of teaching is by showing. Throughout my philosophy of healthcare class, I was shown Jesus in a light I had never stopped to look at. While healing, He healed the whole person instead of just the disease. He made people feel like actual human beings and was never in a rush. He took time and had infinte amouts of compassion and care for them. Everything He did was marked with love. And so, my philosophy of healthcare is this, That in my day to day care, I not only cure, but also nurture the soul. I know this won’t happen overnight so I’ve been praying that God will continue refining my character to be like His so that one day His selfless love and compassion will be found in me and be given freely.
