I wish that our philosophies of healthcare can all be instigated by positive and wonderful experiences. However, mine is just the opposite. When my grandmother was ill and hospitalized, I had to watch her suffer and be neglected for a long time. This is not true of all hospitals and nurses, but it is this malpractice and neglect, that spurred my need to make a change. I want to have a positive affect on the people visiting these hospitals. For even though it is just another day at our job, it is not just another day to them. It is one of the most stressful times of their lives and with my empathy and diligent work ethic, I will help them and their loved ones through this crucial experience, to the best of my ability.
