My philosophy of healthcare is to bestow my patients with wholesomeness and value. I’ll see them in a different kind of light, as something more than just a patient. I’ll see beyond their label of being sick. I’ll see into the core of all feeling, and that is their heart. I will dig deep to know them as a human being rather than judge them by their inabilities and helplessness. I will stand witness to their suffering and provide a shoulder they can lean on. I will admire their strengths and be an anchor that will transpire them from a place of brokenness. I will see them as human beings that have the capacity to effect life with hope and faith. They will be the teacher and I the student. From them I will learn more about my strengths and weaknesses. From them I will be able to confront despair and see life for what its worth. Mind, body, and soul they will affect me. I will have to come to terms with finding the balance of all three. My patients will be the fabrication of my being and my inner peace. In other words, they are the essence of who I am and what I will become, and that to me is a blessing I will always value.
