Healthcare as Ministry: In my mind Healthcare as Ministry transcends through the teaching that I share with each of my students. By sharing and modeling the teaching of Jesus, perhaps each student will go out and touch their patients and share the ideas and acquired knowledge that was gained from their own experience. Being in the healthcare industry requires patience, emotional resilience, and the desire to serve and care for others. I hope, no I pray, that these traits are the very essence of what my students can take away from my teaching. In turn they can encourage their patients to have a positive attitude toward their illness; participate in health-promoting behaviors and accept the healing words. Paying it Forward, This I can do just through one student at a time.
