My Philosophy of Healthcare is more than just to practice medicine. Healthcare should be about curing the sick, and healing the broken. In my paper I stated that I felt a good healthcare provider should have the values of transparency, consistency, and spirituality. Transparency, because if one cannot be honest and up-front with everyone he associates with including himself, how can one be trusted to a position of leadership? Consistency, because success is not one big step, it's a lot of little steps done long enough to figure something out. Spirituality, because one with hope, has hope to share, with someone hungry for a hope in something more, something greater. Lastly, I feel that a healthcare professional has to realize that the only two things that one can control are his attitude and his action. Since an outcome is based off of actions, and actions are based off of attitude.Updated: November 4, 2010 - 10:50am - by Yvette Saliba
