Throughout my life I have been forced to deal with the effects of addiction. Witnessing my family members, as well as, a few friends go through their troubles has strengthened me. I have learned although someone may appear, "normal," there may be major problems dwelling deep down inside. As we discussed in class, everyone has a story and I truly believe someone's story can change people's perceptions of them. Both my father and brother have been given second chances and thanks to the support of family and friends they have been able to turn their lives around. Everyone deserves to have a chance, no matter who they are. My Philosophy of Healthcare is to treat everyone equally and give everyone the chance they deserve, no matter what. Always treat others as you wish to be treated.Updated: January 10, 2011 - 3:36pm - by Yvette Saliba
