My sister-in-law’s body was very broken the day she passed away after a four year battle with cancer. However, her spirit was very much healed. She impacted more lives in her 25 years then some people do in a lifetime. Towards the end of her illness, her nurses and other medical staff not only assisted my sister-in-law through the dying process, but us her family, as well. I understand what it feels like to change your prayers from “God please make her better” to “God please take her quickly.” My Philosophy of Healthcare is to recognize the importance of healing. Healing for both the patient and the family. As a nurse, I know that it will not always be possible for all my patients to be cured from an illness but healing is always possible.
