"My Philosophy of Healthcare is to see people through God's eyes."Josephine Bomah, Health and Biomedical Student.

Starting April 2010 Adventist University of Health Sciences began a new podcasting project. Inspired by StoryCorps, the University has begun collecting philosophies, stories, and thoughts of students, faculty, and staff to keep on their podcast page.

This project was launched as part of a class that every new, incoming, on-campus student will take at the University, Philosophy of Healthcare. From the moment a student begins this class they are being exposed to different thoughts and ideas related to the nature, the brokenness, and the value of man. In the midst of these discussions the students are learning to articulate and define their own philosophy of healthcare. A philosophy that will hopefully become further defined the deeper they move into their chosen field.

In addition to the students writing and recording their philosophies, faculty and staff have joined in and have begun to record their own philosophies as well.

It is the University's hope to continue to grow this project and collect philosophies of all the people who walk the campus, either online or in person. It is University's mission that all students coming to Adventist University will view this school as a place where they can not only get a solid education but better learn who God is. And it is the University's prayer, that each student will come to view being a healthcare provider as a mission—a working, living, instrument of Christ.
