Academic Placement Testing

Academic placement tests may be required for new students. You can determine if you need to take a test by referring to your admission status (either Regular-AP or Probation-AP) or by looking at your ACT or SAT score. If you scored below a 19 on the Math, English, or Composite portions of the ACT or below a 470 on the Critical Reading or Math portions of the SAT, you will be required to complete the placement tests before admission will be granted to college-level BIOL 101: Anatomy and Physiology, ENGL 101: English Composition I, MATH 101: Intermediate Algebra, or MATH 120: College Algebra. If you scored below a 19 on the Science Reasoning portion of the ACT, you will be automatically placed into BIOL 091: Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology.

A hold will be placed for all students needing to take a placement test. You cannot register until the placement tests have been taken and the hold removed. All placement tests are administered by the Center for Academic Achievement located in the Campus Center, Room 252. To schedule a placement test, call 407-303-7747 x1106413.
