This course is a study of the principles of inheritance in all living organisms and an investigation of gene structure and function. Topics will include classical (Mendelian), molecular, and non-Mendelian genetics. Basic principles of genetic engineering will be addressed. Three hours of lecture each week. This course satisfies the requirement for a major or minor in biology.
Or permission of department chair. All prerequisites must be completed with a minimum grade of C (2.00).
