This course provides the nurse with a comprehensive approach to health promotion and assessment using the nursing process. It is accomplished by theory and practice in history taking, physical exam techniques, use of assessment tools/equipment, and health teaching. The student will learn about common variations seen in healthy clients, age-related variations, and common abnormal findings. This course includes three credit hours of theory (45 clock-hours) and one credit hour of clinical (45 clock-hours).
