This course focuses on the application of the nursing process in the management of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention and strengthening the patient/client lines of defense and resistance to environmental stressors. The student will manage care of the designated patient/client experiencing stressors affecting the physiological, psychological, sociocultural, developmental, and spiritual variables. The student will provide care in an acute care environment. This clinical course is designed to facilitate the transition to the role of a registered nurse. The course includes three credit hours of clinical (135 clock hours).
