This course focuses on contemporary health issues with emphasis on community assessment and analysis of healthcare needs by utilizing the nursing process within the epidemiologic framework. Emphasis is given to primary, secondary, and tertiary levels of care. This course includes three credit hours of theory and clinical projects (45 clock-hours) and meets the requirements for a written communication course (see Communication Requirements in the Academic Section of the Academic Bulletin).
All prerequisites must be completed with a minimum grade of C (2.00).
