This course is an introduction to the fundamental principles of organic and biochemistry. Topics covered will include hydrocarbons: carbohydrates, lipids, and proteins, and biochemical processes. A review of the application of these compounds in chemistry to everyday life will be emphasized. This course is designed for non-science majors, does not satisfy the requirement for a major or minor in chemistry, and cannot be used as a prerequisite for any other chemistry course.
