At the time of registration, all full-time degree-seeking students taking 6 or more credit hours are required to show proof of health insurance. If proof cannot be provided, students are required to purchase the health insurance provided by Markel Insurance.

The premium for coverage will be added to the student statement, although 50% of the premium is required at the time of coverage requested.

Eligible students who do enroll may also insure their dependents. Eligible dependents are the spouse (residing with the insured student) and unmarried children under 19 years of age who are not self-supporting and reside with the insured student. Dependent eligibility expires concurrently with that of the insured student.

On-line students or students attending the college at Distance Learning Centers or taking home study correspondence courses are not eligible to enroll in this plan.
