Choosing to pursue a graduate degree is a big step. It takes time, money, determination, and in some cases prior work experience. But once you embark on that journey of higher education, it can change your life and give you opportunities for your future that you may not have thought possible. A Master's in Nurse Anesthesia will allow a Bachelor's-prepared nurse with critical care experience to take his or her career to the next level. A nurse anesthetist is responsible for bringing patients safely through the intraoperative period with knowledge, expertise, and compassion.
Choose Only the Best
Students in the Nurse Anesthesia program have the advantage of learning in a Christian environment where each student is valued as a child of God. The program is fully accredited, offers access to simulation labs, and is one of the few programs in the nation that includes instruction in sonography-guided invasive line and regional block insertion. Clinically, our students have access to the Florida Hospital system, the largest in Orlando.
Nurse Anesthesia Career Outlook
In addition to working in a hospital or outpatient setting, graduates of the Nurse Anesthesia program can pursue many avenues including advanced nursing practice, education, administration, advanced training in anesthesia specialties, or even influencing healthcare policies. A Master's will also open the door to additional research opportunities and will prepare students for doctoral work. The need for qualified nurse anesthetists remains high nationwide. Recent graduates of a Nurse Anesthesia program can expect to earn $115,000-154,000 per year in the Central Florida area.
