Evening Rotations
The Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology’s (JRCERT) policy on Evening/Weekend Rotations provides for a maximum of 25% of the student’s total clinical clock hours to be performed in evening and weekend assignments. The Radiography Program at Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences does not make use of weekend clinical assignments. Students are assigned to evening rotations at various times throughout the course of their training.
Based on the 25% maximum allowed by the JRCERT, students at FHCHS traditionally have spent between 3% and 11% of their total clinical clock hours on evening rotations. The Radiography Program at FHCHS requires students to participate in evening rotations for a minimum of 3% and a maximum of 15% of their total clinical clock hours.
Normally, the evening rotation will occur during the following times:
| Year | Trimester | Days | Times |
|---|---|---|---|
| First | Summer, Fall, and Spring | Mon. – Thurs. | 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. |
| Second | Summer and Fall | Mon. – Thurs. | 4:00 – 9:00 p.m. |
