FHCHS Students Transient at Another Institution

FHCHS students wishing to enroll in courses at another institution must meet the following conditions:

  • Regular academic standing.
  • The institution at which the student wishes to take the transient course(s) must be regionally accredited.
  • Residency requirements for FHCHS must still be met. (Refer to the Residency Requirements under General Degree Requirements.)
  • Prerequisite coursework must be successfully completed for the course desired.
  • Students must not exceed the FHCHS approved course load. (Refer to the Course Load Policy for more information.)
  • Students holding an F-1 Visa are not eligible to take transient courses.

A Transient Letter may be granted for the following reasons:

  • The course needed for graduation at the end of the current trimester at FHCHS is not available.
  • FHCHS does not offer the same course, such as a Humanities course.
  • An out-of-town student wishing to complete courses in their home town during the Summer Trimester, except for students residing in Seminole, Orange, or Osceola counties.
  • A required course is offered at a time that would present an undo burden for the student.
