The Department of Pre-Professional Studies offers several remedial courses. These courses are designed to provide students with the opportunity to bring their academic skills and knowledge in particular areas up to levels that will enable them to successfully complete college-level work in those areas. As such, they are neither factored into a student’s GPA for admission to the College or professional program, nor are the credits transferable. Courses are designated Pass/No Pass. Students with a science ACT score of less than 19 must enroll in BIOL 091: Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology. Students wishing to take College Algebra must have a math ACT score of at least 19. Students with an ACT score below 19 in math and/or English will be required to take a screening exam to determine whether they are eligible to begin college-level work in those areas. The remedial courses offered include:
English ENGL 091 English Review
Mathematics MATH 091 Basic Algebra
Science BIOL 091 Introduction to Anatomy and Physiology
