A student is placed on academic probation when his or her trimester grade point average falls below 2.00. The student has one trimester to raise his or her GPA above 2.00. At the end of that trimester, the Academic Review Committee will review his or her status (see the Academic Dismissal section). The student must register and successfully complete Philosophy of Healthcare (HCRE/RELP 101) by the end of the next trimester. A student on academic probation should not take more than 12 credit hours during the fall and spring trimesters or six credit hours during the summer trimester. Students on academic probation should consult with their assigned advisor regarding strategies for academic success.
