Once an F-1 student has filed an I-485 Form with USCIS to apply for Permanent Residency and has received a Notice of Action from USCIS, that student is no longer required by law to maintain full-time student status. However, Adventist University strongly recommends to its F-1 students with a Notice of Action that they continue to maintain full-time student status in the event that the Notice of Action is withdrawn. Please consult with the International Student Advisor as to the best course of action in this situation.
