Students that exhibit stewardship at FHCHS use resources responsibly. In order to make the best use of their assigned accommodations, students are encouraged to review the guidelines below:
- Class Attendance
Refer to the class syllabus for each course to become familiar with the attendance policy for each instructor. When using support services in the classroom, it is important to adhere to the policies outlined in the syllabus to protect the right to services. - Notification of Absence/Tardiness
If the student is going to be absent or late, the student must call the Office for Student with Disabilites at (407) 303-8016 and let the Office know when the student will arrive or if they will not be in class at all. The interpreter will wait 15 minutes at the beginning of the class for the student’s arrival unless otherwise notified through the Office. - Interpreter Absences
In the event that an interpreter fails to show up for an assignment, the student should contact the Office for Students with Disabilities as soon as possible. Every effort will be made to send a replacement. If not, a recording device may be provided so the lecture can be recorded and interpreted at a later date.
