Convocation 2011

Adventist University of Health Sciences (ADU) will host its annual Convocation Ceremony on Monday, September 12, 2011. College President, Dr. David Greenlaw, will be the keynote speaker and the topic of his address will be “Living the Culture of Excellence.” Convocation will take place at Calvary Assembly Church of God located in Winter Park, Florida.

“Convocation is a once-a-year event where the entire College family can come together and celebrate the beginning of a new year,” said Ruby Gutierrez, Director of Student Experience and Community Engagement and organizer of this year’s Convocation. “The theme of excellence fits perfectly into our mission since it is one of the University’s four vision words.” Adventist University's four vision words—Nurture, Excellence, Spirituality, and Stewardship—are the foundation of the institution’s culture and philosophy, and was instrumental in the creation of the University’s mission of Healthcare as Ministry.

Convocation will start at 3:00 p.m. with a President’s reception immediately following. University classes will be cancelled after 2:00 p.m. to facilitate attendance at Convocation. Attendance is required for all students, faculty, and staff. This event is open to the public.
